In order to be able to narrow down the number of potentially hazardous substances or pollutants and sources of pollutants, an inspection of your working areas, interior areas or your living environment will be necessary. During this on-site inspection, the given situation at the workplace or the condition of your environment and equipment, among other things, will be discussed.
The initial visual, structural-physical and, if necessary, also olfactory assessment of the situation will form the basis for defining, formulating and agreeing on the special examination procedure to be applied and the common goals and task objectives of the subsequent action that is to be taken.
In the course of a more detailed evaluation/building examination, the sources of hazardous substances and/or pollutants or biological substances can be identified more precisely by way of specific visual inspection and through material tests as well as structural-physical tests and analyses. In this context, it may be advisable to prepare a register of hazardous materials, or similar documentation.
